A unique and valuable perspective

Dane Jensen is one of the top art advisors in the world. His multifaceted background as a curator, auctioneer, auction specialist and gallery director coalesced to form a dynamic and comprehensive art advisory for those looking to build, enhance and sell great art collections.

He is known particularly for his ability to identify exceptional high-value artworks within a marketplace of vast offerings. He does this with a client-first approach and by designing acquisition and selling strategies based on his art historical knowledge, market expertise and curatorial vision.

Previously, Dane was the top-selling Art Advisor and Director of one of the largest art advisories in the world. He directed the contemporary art program and was a specialist for an international auction house leading their contemporary art program.

As a curator he created exhibitions for museums such as the Wattis Institute for Contemporary Art in San Francisco and the Oakland Museum of California.

He was the former Director at the legendary design gallery, Moss, and was a Gallery Director in Los Angeles for Earl McGrath, a well-known figure in the arts and as a gallerist, collector, writer, and music executive. Dane holds a Master’s degree in Curatorial Practice from California College of the Arts, a program that is renowned for developing extraordinary talent within the field.

He also earned a degree in Art History from the University of Wisconsin, Madison with an emphasis on Modern and Contemporary art and design. You will find him in the galleries, auction rooms and art fairs in New York, Los Angeles and the top destinations for art on the global calendar.

“Effective art advising is about diversity of skills — the ability to bid in an auction room, identifying exceptional opportunities at an art fair, providing rare offerings in private sales, pricing correctly, developing data-driven strategies, a scholarly understanding of a given practice, and bringing an insider’s network to the table.”
